It is with much excitement that we announce the opening of the Get Grounded Foundation’s Teen Studio, a safe place for middle and high school teens to socialize, study, explore, be inspired, contribute to their community, and learn about themselves.
This dream has been underway since 2009, and the founding Teen Advisory Board of 22 middle school and 20 high school students, has been actively planning the opening since 2010. It’s finally here!
We hope that as parents or other members of this community, you will join us in supporting the Teen Studio and the mission and work of the Get Grounded Foundation. Simply put, our goal is to have every teen that walks through these doors find what s/he is looking for, be it community service projects, a study room, enrichment programs, or simply connecting with friends.
As we grow, the Teen Studio will offer numerous positive opportunities for teens to be engaged in programs and activities that can help them figure out who they are and what’s truly important to them. The bottom line is that they will have a safe place to be that is theirs to explore what helps them “get grounded” in life.
Let’s ground them together!
Special thanks to Emory University and Commissioner Jeff Rader for their essential support and to all the donors, volunteers, and friends who have made this dream a reality. Get Grounded is a 501c3 nonprofit volunteer-based organization. Donations and volunteers are welcomed and sincerely appreciated.
